1. Kaizen is a process of improving something a little at a time to arrive at the desired end result. It's a way to think about building something piece by piece, improving it piece by piece, instead of designing directly for the end result. Kaizen involves making tiny changes at a time and constantly thinking about what can be changed, which open up new doors of the design but don't disrupt the entirety of it. It's an iteration. Which is similar to the "Good design entails continual redesign," with Kaizen you are continually making changes and improvements.
2. Our team has chosen the Restaurant project, one of our concepts was to create some type of rewards system within the restaurant that can be redeemed for completing healthy activities within the restaurant. Such as having the user wear a pedometer while in the park, and if she/he has completed so many steps they can redeem those for an appetizer or beverage.
3. Using Kaizen, perhaps one small change is to have the activities that are redeemable at the Restaurant be completed within the Restaurant instead of the Park to ease the confusion because a user might think that the rewards system is used for all the Restaurants, however it would be unique only to ours. For example, while waiting for a table the user could complete a short warm-up exercise and receive an appetizer, or the user could complete a "Healthy Trivia Game" for a beverage.
